These terms govern your use of the Epivo AI tutoring platform and website. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms. If you are a parent or guardian creating an account for a child, you agree to these terms on their behalf.

1. About Epivo

Epivo is an AI-powered tutoring platform operated by Swedish General Consulting AB, org. nr 556071-0229, Box 647, 114 11 Stockholm, Sweden. Epivo provides personalized educational content and tutoring through artificial intelligence.

2. Eligibility and accounts

To use Epivo, you must create an account. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must create the account and consent to these terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it if it changes.

3. Accounts for minors

Parents and guardians who create accounts for children are responsible for their child's use of the platform. In Sweden, children aged 13 and older may consent to data processing for the service. For children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country), parental consent is required. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle children's data.

4. The service

Epivo provides AI-powered tutoring across various subjects and curricula. The service includes personalized learning paths, interactive conversations with an AI tutor, and progress tracking. In accordance with the EU AI Act, we inform you that this service is powered entirely by artificial intelligence. You interact with an AI tutor, not a human tutor. The AI system processes your inputs to generate educational responses.

We strive to provide accurate and high-quality educational content, but we do not guarantee that all information is error-free. Epivo is a supplementary educational tool and is not a replacement for formal schooling, professional teaching, or official examinations.

5. AI-generated content

Content generated by the AI tutor is produced by large language models and may occasionally contain inaccuracies. While we design our system to deliver reliable educational content aligned with established curricula, AI-generated responses should not be treated as authoritative academic or professional advice.

The AI tutor is designed exclusively for educational purposes. It does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. If you need help in these areas, please consult a qualified professional.

We continuously review and improve our content quality through automated and manual quality assurance processes.

7. Subscriptions and payments

Some features of Epivo require a paid subscription. Subscription terms, pricing, and billing cycles are presented at the time of purchase. You can cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes do not apply to the current billing period.

8. Right of withdrawal

As an EU consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. By starting to use the service immediately upon purchase, you acknowledge that you may lose this withdrawal right once the service has been fully performed during the withdrawal period. 9. Intellectual property

All content, curriculum materials, software, and design elements of the Epivo platform are owned by or licensed to Swedish General Consulting AB. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Content you create through interactions with the platform (such as conversation transcripts and learning notes) remains associated with your account and is subject to our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Swedish General Consulting AB is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Epivo. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

This limitation does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under EU or Swedish law.

11. Service availability

We aim to keep Epivo available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.

Upon account deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved by the courts of Sweden. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
