How to select a teacher with a Premium voice
- Open the menu and go to Teachers (visible on Mini and Max plans)
- Browse the available teacher personas
- Each teacher card shows the persona's name, personality, and a voice preview button
- Tap the preview button to hear the voice, then select the teacher you want
The teacher and their Premium voice take effect in your next session.
What makes Premium voices different
Premium voices from ElevenLabs are generated in the cloud using advanced neural synthesis. Compared to Standard voices:
- More natural intonation and rhythm
- Better expression of emphasis and emotion
- Smoother, more human-like sound quality
The difference is most noticeable in longer conversations where natural pacing and expression matter.
Requirements
Premium voices require:
- An active Epivo Mini or Max subscription
- An internet connection (speech is streamed from the cloud)
If you lose internet during a session, Epivo falls back to Standard or Basic voices automatically.
