How a session flows

Your tutor begins by greeting you and briefly reviewing what you worked on last time. Then they introduce new material or revisit topics that are due for review.

The conversation is dynamic. Your tutor explains concepts, asks questions to check understanding, provides hints when you are stuck, and celebrates when you get something right. You respond by speaking naturally — full sentences, short answers, or even questions of your own.

What you see on screen

The main screen shows a glowing orb that pulses when the tutor is speaking and listens when you are talking. Below the orb, you may see:

  • Images or diagrams related to the topic
  • A media card with additional visual context

The text transcript is hidden by default to keep the focus on the conversation. You can toggle it on at any time if you want to follow along in writing.

The interface is deliberately simple. The focus is on the conversation, not on buttons and menus.

How long does a session last?

Sessions are flexible. A natural teaching cycle covers a few knowledge components and typically lasts five to fifteen minutes. You can end a session at any time by tapping the menu, or you can keep going as long as you like.

For younger learners, shorter sessions often work better. The tutor adjusts its pacing to suit the student.

For parents: what your child experiences

Your child has a real conversation with their tutor. They are not passively watching a video or tapping multiple-choice answers. They are thinking, explaining, and reasoning out loud.

You can review your child’s learning progress from the parent dashboard at app.epivo.ai, including their mastery levels and course progress.
