What is a teacher persona?
A teacher persona is a character with distinct traits:
- Name and appearance — each teacher has a name and an avatar
- Teaching style — some are warm and encouraging, others are more direct and focused
- Voice — each persona comes with a fixed voice. On paid plans, these are Premium ElevenLabs voices
The underlying teaching quality is the same regardless of persona. The difference is in how the material is delivered.
How to choose your teacher
- Open the app menu
- Go to Teachers (visible on Mini and Max plans)
- Browse the available personas — each card shows the teacher's personality and includes a voice preview button
- Tap a teacher to select them
Your choice takes effect immediately. The next time you start a session, your new teacher greets you.
Can I change my teacher later?
Yes. You can switch teachers at any time from the Teachers menu. Your progress, courses, and learning plan stay the same — only the teacher persona changes.
